How to Use GoBake Melt Me’s Choc Melts

If you’re looking to take your cake decorating, baking, or treat-making to the next level, GoBake Melt Me’s Choc Melts are your go-to! These versatile coloured melts are perfect for everything from dipping and moulding to writing and drizzling – and they couldn’t be easier to use.

Melt Me's are available in 8 colours: Red, Orange, Yellow, Green, Blue, White, Milk Choc and Dark Choc. Mix colours to create other colours and shades, or add oil-based colouring to White Melt Me's.

How to Melt GoBake Melt Me’s

Microwave Method:
Place your choc melts in a microwave-safe bowl. Heat in short 15–20 second bursts, stirring between each round until fully melted. Easy and quick!

Double Boiler Method:
Fill a saucepan with a small amount of water and bring to a simmer. Place a heatproof bowl on top (make sure it doesn’t touch the water) and stir continuously until smooth and melted.

Creative Ways to Use Melt Me’s

Coating:
Dip fruits, biscuits, cake pops or other treats into the melted choc and set them on greaseproof paper until firm.

Moulding:
Pour into silicone moulds and pop them in the fridge to set – perfect for homemade chocolate shapes and decorations!

Drizzling:
Use a spoon or piping bag to drizzle over cupcakes, cookies, cakes, or even ice cream for a decorative (and delicious) finish. Tip: use a small about of vegetable oil to thin out your Melt Me's before drizzling.

Writing:
Fill a piping bag or squeeze bottle to carefully write letters, numbers or fun designs on your baked goods – ideal for personalising birthday cakes and cookies. Tip: Create decorations by piping onto greaseproof paper. Let set before adding to your treats.

 

Setting & Storing Tips

Let your creations set at room temperature or pop them in the fridge for quicker results.

Store any leftover melted choc in an airtight container for future use.
